A “Blue Christmas Service” is for those who have experienced loss---of a loved one, a job, a home, or anything meaningful. It calls attention to the presence of God’s grace and the pastoral care of the community, especially during a time when holiday memories can amplify difficult feelings.
St. Mark's hosts the Deanery 6 Advent Soup Suppers Series. Supper at 6:00pm. Program begins at 6:30pm. Discussion of The Universal Christ: How a Forgotten Reality Can Change Everything We See, Hope For, and Believe by Richard Rohr.
Through hearing the Bible scriptures, singing carols, and church members playing the parts of Bible personalities, we present the story of the birth of Jesus. There are parts for those of all ages. If your child is interested in being in the play, please connect with Susan Mackall in Room 18 off the Parish Hall (the Sunday School Room) on Sunday, November 27, before or after the 10 am service.
