Dear Haiti Friends,
Below my signature please see a flyer for support of Haiti Outreach Mission, primarily supporting medical work in and around Mirebalais, Haiti, including the clinic at St. Pierre.  Working with St. Pierre and with the Catholic church in Mirebalais, they have also brought medical care to remote parts of the area.  Their current fundraising efforts are focused on support for the tens of thousands of refugees from Mirebalais and now the wider Artibonite area.  If you are in Ann Arbor, MI or know someone who is, please feel free to pass the information along.
I am also including a link to an article found by Karen Wires, who is the primary coordinator of an effort to bring together the Haiti partnerships in the Dioceses of Washington, DC and Virginia for collaboration, information-sharing, and any other kinds of mutual support which present themselves. (If you are located in either diocese and have a partnership or relationship of any kind with Haiti, I would urge you to get in touch with her to be added to the mailing list: karenwires874@gmail.com)    We were dumbfounded to read that anyone anywhere could be under the impression that the situation is “better” in Haiti, particularly after the violent occupation by gangs of Mirebalais and the surrounding countryside.  The area they control continues to expand.
