Dear Faith Leaders, Clergy, and Friends:
Faith and community leaders in Springfield, Ohio, are asking us to stand with them during this urgent moment. ICE enforcement has intensified across Springfield’s Haitian community. Families are afraid to go to work, send their children to school, or attend church. Pastor Viles Dorsainvil has reported seeing ICE agents outside churches, and on Thursday, Haitian pastor Gilbert Joubert Adrien was detained by ICE.
In response, faith partners from across the country are coming together for an emergency Faithful Witness Call. We will hear directly from leaders in Springfield and discuss how faith communities and movement partners can respond.
Emergency Faithful Witness Call: Monday, August 24  7:00 PM ET Register for the call
The situation is moving quickly. Please register, share this invitation with your networks, and join us on Monday.
Best,
Claudette David

      Dear Rev. Anne,
REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH
SOS
STANDING WITH OUR HAITIAN SIBLINGS
Friend,
Somebody is hurting our siblings. We will not be silent.
This Wednesday, August 26, Repairers of the Breach goes to Salisbury, Maryland, to stand with our Haitian neighbors against the lies, the attacks, and the arrests aimed at them.
STOP THE LIES.
STOP THE ATTACKS.
STOP THE ARRESTS.
PRAYER  •  PRESS  •  MARCH
If you can get to the Mid-Atlantic, be there:
Wed., Aug 26  |  Salisbury, MD
12:30 PM — Gather & Register
Rebirth Inc. | Radio Oasis, 255 N. Division St.
1:00 PM — March & Delivery of Letters
1:30 PM — Prayer & Press
Wicomico County Government Office, 125 N. Division St.
Clergy: wear the vestments of your faith tradition. Let the county see conscience walking down the street.
If you can’t get to Salisbury, you still have a job:
Watch the action live at www.breachrepairers.org.
Share this with three people in the Delmarva region — Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia — who can go.
Hold our Haitian siblings in prayer at 1:30 PM ET, when we gather at the county office.
Post it. Silence protects the people doing the harming.
We are calling on churches, synagogues, campus groups, lodge halls, street corners — everyone — to mobilize, educate, and march. No one is exempt from this. Some of us march. The rest of us make sure the marchers aren’t alone.
Serving Justly,
Dr. Hanna R. Broome
